Write Your Soundtrack

Music is an important medium for many.  There are some of us though who can not just listen to music but must feel every tension, absorb each lyrical nuance, and memorize each riff as if it were a personal event.  I was raised with the sounds of the 60’s and 70’s needle fed into my consciousness. I will always have a deep appreciation of the simple addictive hooks of so many smokey bar jukebox hits. The soundtrack of my life is an ever changing track ranging from the repetitive mastery of AC/DC to the story telling power of Billy Joel. The 90’s were the golden age of rock resurgence for me. It was during the 90’s I learned to truly appreciate music for all it is and the sounds that hit me from every corner reverberate to this day. Forever embrace the intoxicating blend of falling Zeppelins and rising Nirvanas. My tastes have become eccentric to the point of the absurd. My various mood swings find me craving subtle sounds in the depths of Zero 7 and climbing out again into the amusing patterns of P.U.S.A.  Even today I still find the most complete and perfect personal journey in a pair of headphones.  Those who simply listen to music as a background sound can never appreciate the incredible intensity that the sounds hold for the truly addicted.  Allow yourself to delve far beyond your personal tastes and discover entire volumes of new material to build you memories upon.  Know your roots, explore your futures, and etch a soundtrack along the way.
